Hello! I wanted to share how my first three months of blogging are going. So far it has been a STILL learning experience.

First I knew I wanted to start a hobby I just did not know what yet. Then I was on Pinterest and saw a post on side hustle Blogging hobbies being turned into a full time gig. Just like that… SOLD. Home Decor and any to do with Bath & Body Works I can see myself taking photos of and writing about. When I thought about blogging topics: sales coming up, finds at stores that you can find bargains, and I will write them as Emilys’ Picks (the candles I pick, home decor I pick, and possible health & fashion picks).

Did some research online, Pinterest, and YouTube. So I have to pick out a Niche(category/subject)…Picked. Then you have to pick out a Blog Host (I went with Hostinger), then a Blogging Platform (I picked WordPress). These YouTube videos can walk you through the entire way of setting both things up and yet you can manage to lose one or two steps and mess something up. It happened to me twice just between us I still cannot see how many views/visits I have on this blog. YIKES right!!!!

So then all that 90% set up, I made a Pinterest account to get my blog out there and post pretty pictures and connect it to my blog and even though to this day I have 7 followers I’m still learning how to understand how I have 600 impressions a month. So I have to do more to get more content out, more followers, and then finally get my views on this blog working.

Hopefully once this goes well for me I will update my next three months and maybe just maybe I will have enough to be approved for an affiliate marketing program. (one of my fails is like a month into blogging I applied for Clickbank and got an email saying they cannot approve me to do affiliate marketing) Fingers crossed I can make this work and update you guys on this journey!

There is so much to consider when going into blogging and if it’s just a hobby awesome… If you are able to turn it into passive income…amazing! So much STILL I need to learn. So far this has been fun and I enjoy doing this.

Thanks for reading, until my next post!
